Despite the rain, the Philippine Cultural Heritage Festival drew attendees from all over the Greater Vancouver area to Burnaby's Swangard Stadium yesterday. I enjoyed the colourful presentations of music, art, dance--both contemporary and traditional. We are very fortunate to enjoy the cultural gifts and exceptional talents, skills, hard work, generosity, compassion and community values that Filipino Canadians bring to our country. We are stronger and more vibrant as a nation and as communities because of their presence and valuable contributions.
